After waiting an extra week to play, the Eagles softball team hosted King-Chavez HS for our “Senior game”. The Eagles got off to a slow start however they rallied behind some timely hits, sound defense, and standout pitching. The highlight came at the end of the game with both teams knotted up at 12 to 12. Zuleica A. drew a full count walk, stole 2nd base, then stole 3rd base. With Maria S. at the plate ready to SAC bunt Jazmin Q. stole 2nd base and as soon as the catcher threw the ball, Zuleica sprinted home for the winning run 13-12! This was also the teams 1st home win at the “Eagles Nest”. We sent our Seniors off with a win at home. Thank you Ajena’, Sara, Ariel, Justina, and Zuleica for a great season. Remember, You will be an EAGLE forever.
