While at UCLA, I learned that I was not as shy as I thought I was. I became way more comfortable around others doing what I love to do, which is acting!

The Harvard Secondary School Program is immersive, collaborative, and transformative. As part of this program, Lizbeth and Muhammad worked alongside peers from around the world, earning Harvard credit for courses ranging from public speaking to journalism.

The Princeton University Summer Journalism Program aims to diversify college and professional newsrooms by encouraging outstanding high school students to pursue careers in journalism. Students from the program have gone on to write for college newspapers and major media outlets across the country.

My experience with higher education this summer has made me realize the importance of being the HARDEST worker in the room. You don't have to attend Harvard or Princeton; but as long as you work the hardest, you'll get somewhere great. I recommend everyone leave their comfort zone this year...whether that's applying for a summer program or making some new friends. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, so you might as well take some!
Muhammad El-Arbi, Class of 2018

Going to CIT Girl Scouts Camp was amazing! There I learned how to lead younger girls to become strong and powerful young ladies. I got to embrace my time out in nature. Spending time away from the city really helped me to appreciate all that I have here in San Diego.
Brittany Durbin-Robinson, Class of 2020

The SAT & ACT Test Preparation Courses at the University of San Diego help students get into their dream college. The program has been helping San Diego’s students succeed for over 35 years.

My learning experience was a lot of fun. I stepped out of my comfort zone and liked being at the university. The class really showed me all the areas I need to focus on in order to be prepared to take the test. I also enjoyed meeting a lot of new people. My professor made the learning really interactive and fun. I highly recommend this PSAT/SAT class. I truly feel this class will help me be more prepared when I test in the fall.
