On October 11, 2019, Director Riveroll will be honored during the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the San Diego Chapter NAACP’s Freedom Fund Dinner.
Historically, the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) has championed equal rights and continues to work to eliminate racial prejudice, and to advance the interest of people of color in regard to voting rights, legal justice and educational and employment opportunities. It was the NAACP who litigated to the Supreme Court Brown vs. Board of Education – the case that resulted in the school-desegregation decision.
Our Director is being honored because of his contribution to the cause of Civil Rights and Racial Justice in the city of San Diego.
Congratulations, Director! Your GPA family is incredibly proud of you.
