Council member Myrtle Cole presented the proclamation of June 17, 2014 as the Walls of Excellence Day. The Gompers Preparatory Academy Honorees are Zayra C., Julio R., and Louisa G. They were recognized today for their academic excellence of graduating high school students in the Fourth Council District. Honorees must have a 3.0 or above grade point average, reside in the Fourth Council District and have a 2 year history of community involvement.
