The walls of Excellence was established in the year 2000 to acknowledge the academic excellence of graduating high school students in the Fourth Council District. Honorees must have a 3.0 or above grade point average, reside in the Fourth Council District and have a 2 year history of community involvement.
Gompers Preparatory Academy Honorees are: Zayra C, Julio R, and Louisa G.
Myrtle Cole presented the honorees with a commendation from the City Council, and unveiled their plaque in the Wall of Excellence.
