GPA vs Health Sciences High and Middle College
Congratulations to Linda M. & Leticia R. who were voted MVP’s, winning all three of their matches. Coming in a close second was Kayla H. and Jazmine M. who fought hard in singles but came up a little short. Our next match is Tuesday October 14th vs High Tech High Chula Vista. The match will be played at Hilltop High School at 3:30.
GPA Defeats King Chavez
CONGRATULATIONS to our girls varsity tennis team who traveled to Roosevelt yesterday to play King Chavez. Our girls defeated King Chavez by a score of 13-5. Our MVP’s for the day were seniors Leticia R. & Linda M. who gave up only 2 games for their 3 matches, winning 6-1, 6-1, 6-0. Our other two MVP’s were sophomore Kayla H & junior Jazmine M. who gave up only 2 games as well. Congrats lady eagles, your practice time is paying off. See you on the courts today at 3:15.
GPA vs King Chavez
Our girls varsity tennis team traveled to Roosevelt Middle School to play against King Chavez in the first match of the season. Impressive and inspiring were our seniors yesterday. Leticia R. Dulce R. Jullisa C. and Linda M. have had extremely busy schedules over the start of the tennis season. After school AP classes, auditions for the upcoming Open House show, members of ASB, and tennis practice. For some of the girls this was there first time playing a competitive match, and how impressive they were winning all of their matches. Our juniors Shelia F and Rosa B. came away with a win as well. Our Eagles came up just short of a win by just a few games; score 7-7 in sets and 53 – 49 in games. Congratulations to all of our girls who showed incredible poise, determination and dedication to being a student-athletes. Next match is Tuesday the 23rd against Health Sciences @ Roosevelt Middle School. GO EAGLES!
